clamming in Ocean Shores

Make plans now to come razor clam digging in Ocean Shores at Copalis Beach steps from The Polynesian Resort.  The Washington Dept. of Fish & Wildlife has released its current calendar and regulations.

Copalis Beach in Ocean Shores is one of five harvest areas managed by the WDF&W. That makes Ocean Shores a hub for the sought-after razor clam.   The Copalis Beach clamming area runs from the North Jetty to the mouth of the Copalis River, (with one small exception of a clam reserve just south of Ocean City).  Razor clams exist primarily on the intertidal coastal beaches from a +3 foot level to a -2 foot tide level.

Note that all dates are tentative and subject to change.  Find details, maps, and complete “how-to” information here.  All diggers age 15 and above require a license.  Get yours online.
